Smash Hits is an inclusive LGBT+ badminton organisation. We believe everyone has the right to enjoy badminton in an environment free from threat of intimidation, discrimination, harassment or abuse.
As a club we will: - Treat each other fairly and with respect at all times. - Not use disrespectful or violent behaviour towards each other. - Show patience and listen to each other. - Not use social or any other electronic media to publicly criticise any other player or otherwise bring the club into disrepute through inappropriate communications. - Respect the facilities we use and tidy up after ourselves. - Play fairly. - Have fun and enjoy playing badminton!
Any incidents of unacceptable behaviour should be reported to the session organiser. The club reserves the right to exclude a member following repeated incidents of unacceptable behaviour.
We are explicitly supportive of our Trans and Non-Binary members and when tournaments are held will support and encourage them to enter the playing category right for them.
Member’s safety is of utmost importance to us. Therefore we require members to be wearing footwear appropriate for playing the game of badminton.
The club hours on Saturdays are 11am to 2pm. The club shuttles may only be used during these times. Players may start playing earlier or continue after the session if there is court availability but they must use their own shuttles outside of club hours.
